PPIC – Smart Production Planning & Execution for Glove Manufacturing
A leading glove manufacturer needed one system to run the full production lifecycle: demand planning, raw material, line scheduling, execution tracking, and dispatch — without breaking when the plan changed.
The challenge
Production was run on spreadsheets and experience. Demand, materials, and line schedules lived in different places. When orders changed at the last minute or demand spiked, the team had to rework plans manually — and the rest of the shop floor often found out too late. Bottlenecks showed up only after they happened. There was little visibility across the lifecycle, so output was hard to predict and on-time delivery suffered. The company wanted to move from reactive firefighting to a single, flexible system that could absorb changes without throwing the whole plan out.
What we built
We developed the PPIC (Production Planning & Inventory Control) application — a unified platform that ties together demand planning, raw material management, line scheduling, execution tracking, and dispatch coordination. Planners get a single view of what’s needed, what’s available, and what’s running. Real-time production monitoring and intelligent scheduling help optimize planning cycles and reduce bottlenecks. One of the core design goals was operational flexibility: last-minute order changes, urgent adjustments, and demand swings can be fed into the system and the plan can be updated without tearing everything down. The solution is built to support the pace of a high-volume glove operation while keeping quality and traceability in place.
Results
Production efficiency improved: planning cycles were optimized, bottlenecks reduced, and overall manufacturing timelines shortened. With real-time visibility and smarter scheduling, the company achieved better output predictability and improved on-time delivery. The ability to incorporate order changes and demand fluctuations without disrupting the full plan has let them respond quickly to the market while maintaining high quality and efficiency. The organization has moved from reactive production management to a data-driven, agile model — with higher throughput, less waste, and stronger overall operational performance.
